Rachel Furness signs with Bristol City

Bristol City have today confirmed the signing of Northern Ireland international midfielder, Rachel Furness.

Rachel joins from Liverpool, where she has been a key member of the team for the past 3 years, scoring 19 goals in 64 matches. As vice captain, Rachel helped the Reds to secure their return to the Barclay’s WSL last season, sealing promotion at Ashton Gate against the Robins.

Rachel is the record goalscorer for the Northern Ireland national team, with 38 goals in 85 caps - and started every match at last summer’s UEFA Euro 2022 in England.

Speaking about joining the Robins, Rachel said “The girls are having a fantastic season. I like the direction the Club is going in. I love the plans and what they’re trying to do on and off the pitch. I want to come in and help any way that I can. I am a passionate person and I hope I can come in, add to the fantastic season that they’re already having and help better the team.”
