Amalie Vangsgaard named Danish Player of the Year 2023

Amalie Vangsgaard was named the 2023 Danish Player of the Year by the DBU/Spillerforeningen at Denmark’s Sport 2023 ceremony, in recognition of her outstanding performances at both Club and international levels throughout the year.

In January, the Swedish league’s Attacker of the Year and Golden Boot joined Paris Saint-Germain, helping the team push during the second half of the season to a second place finish in league and cup.

Vangsgaard then played a pivotal role for Denmark in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup campaign, her first major international tournament. Vangsgaard scored the decisive game-winning goal in the last minute against China, before growing into a starting role across the tournament.
