Christie named FA’s WSL2 Player of the Month

Murray continued to play an important role as Doncaster Belles extended their lead at the top of WSL2, contributing both goals and assists to the team across the month.

Murray also scored against two WSL1 opponents in Birmingham City during the Belles’ Continental Cup campaign, and has since scored against Manchester City and Oxford United.

Christie commented: “It’s great to win this award because as an attacking player I feel that my role in the team is to make an impact — whether that be creating chances for my teammates, doing work off the ball or scoring goals to help us win games — and I feel like I’ve done that.”

At the same time, Christie has recently announced that she will leave Doncaster at the end of December to focus on fresh challenges. We look forward to sharing more on Christie’s next step in due course!
